Or, looking at it the other way round, we don’t just want our interiors to be cosy, we want them to refl ect high aesthetic standards too – throughout the entire home. Interior design culture has changed, and a growing number of people are discovering the bathroom as an attractive room that enhances the quality of their home.
burgbad has been part of this reorientation from the word go. That is impressively obvious from its solitaire programmes like Crono, which has been successfully positioned on the market for 10 years now – thanks in no small part to the flexibility with which Crono helps create cosy bathroom situations. In addition to everything else, Crono is a model example of sustainable and enduring design that is both in touch with contemporary trends and nevertheless timeless.
Our product portfolio has changed dramatically in recent years: it has become more flexible, cosier and, above all, more extensive. Right now, for instance, we are expanding our product range for extremely cosy, up-to-the-minute bathroom furnishings with a new solitaire collection by the name of Orell. It is no coincidence that collections such as the rc40 design by Nexus or the cconceptwall range by Marc Sadler that was launched at the ISH trade show in 2013 have a lot in common with furniture systems for living rooms: besides their modular structure, these collections also permit tremendously broad creative scope in terms of both their confi guration and their surfaces. With one major difference: they also meet all the technical and quality-related criteria for use in the bathroom and can be combined with sanitaryware such as washbasins or showers. In fact, the rc40 programme could almost be described as a cabinet system with integrated water technology: thanks to our collaboration with companies such as Geberit or Viega, we have managed to accomplish an extremely efficient and successful combination with pre-wall installation systems. In other words, burgbad’s solutions can make walls superfluous: cconceptwall can be used to cover the bathroom walls completely and rc40 to create entire spaces.
We see ourselves as building bridges between architecture, installation technology and furniture design – and therefore right at the heart of all the things that constitute an interior.
