This mantra has served the brand well and has fuelled the growth over the last decade to become one of the most recognised bathroom names in the UK. The Hudson Reed brand is owned by one of the largest independent bathroom manufacturers and distributers in the country, Ultra Finishing Ltd.
Ultra Finishing Ltd began life in 1982 offering a plating service but has quickly evolved to be one of the country’s largest independent suppliers of complete bathrooms – from taps to towel rails, sanitary ware to showers we have it all. Bathroom furniture and baths, designer radiators galore and mirrors for the perfect finishing touch. Market leading customer service and diversification has seen the company expand over the last 30 years from a small operation in a former air raid shelter to modern premises at the Lancashire headquarters, boasting a state of the art distribution centre employing over 150 people.
Manufacturing in Britain
We are passionate about British manufacturing and all thermostatic showers with the patented Valquest technology and patented Pearlstone shower trays are all made in house. Our environmental policy ensures that we seek to minimize our environmental impact as far as possible. We recycle most of the waste we create and comply with EC regulations on Packaging Waste.

Exceptional quality is a key factor contributing to Hudson Reed’s success. We offer a 20 year guarantee, unless otherwise stated against manufacturing defects on all products when used in normal domestic applications (excluding serviceable parts, neglect or abuse).
Research & development
At Hudson Reed we are dedicated to bringing you the latest designs utilising the most up-to-date technology. The new product design team benefit from a development system audited to ISO9001 standards, meaning each product is designed, sourced, evaluated and warehoused to the highest standard.
The incorporation of Valquest to the business means the majority of our thermostatic showers incorporate the patented ‘Valquest’ thermostatic cartridge, providing full thermal protection against scalding and ensuring a constant temperature in the shower. We have a dedicated laboratory where a team of highly skilled technicians carry out all the assembly and testing of the Valquest cartridge on-site.
