A team of 10 employees from Mira Showers has raised more than £10,000 for cancer charity CLIC Sargent, after conquering three of the highest mountains in the UK in just over 24 hours.
The Mira Showers workers took on the Three Peaks Challenge, which saw them cover 10,000 feet and 25 miles when they took on Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales.
Marketing manager Tom Rastall, who took part in the challenge, said: “It was a tough event to take on, but thankfully the training and good team spirits helped us all complete the Three Peaks together. More importantly, the fantastic support we received has raised lots of money for CLIC Sargent.”
The charity provides clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.
