Lakes Bathrooms New Mirrored Shower Enclosures

Mirror finish adds a new dimension to shower enclosures, doors and bath screens from Lakes Bathrooms.

Shower enclosure specialist Lakes Bathrooms has launched an extensive new range of mirrored shower enclosures, doors and bath panels. The mirrored finish is now available as an option on the most popular bathroom products across the company’s Classic Collection and its luxury 8mm Coastline Collection. Uniquely, the mirrored effect is available not only on complete panels, but also as an inset panel, which creates a whole new look for the bathroom.

According to Lakes Bathrooms its mirrored products help to visually expand any room by reflecting light and creating the illusion of space. At the same time, the manufacturer claims, the mirrored element also provides privacy for the shower user; whilst it lets light through, it effectively obscures the user for discrete showering, which is a bonus in shared bathrooms.

Reflecting both practicality and style, Lakes say that the Mirror range is as easy to live with as it is beautiful to look at. It not only offers the functionality of a full-length mirror, but also frees up valuable space and keeps the bathroom clean and uncluttered.

Introducing the new Mirror range, sales and marketing director, Clive Organ, enthused, “Our new mirrored treatment is an optional effect that creates visual interest in larger bathrooms and conjures light into smaller spaces, plus offers modesty in family bathrooms. With numerous practical benefits and contemporary style appeal, we expect this exciting new option to be in significant demand.”

The mirrored treatment is integral to the glass and created during manufacture. It allows light through, thanks to a slight degree of transparency. This is important, says Lakes Bathrooms, as it ensures that the enclosure is still bright and light inside. The inset option further enhances the dual benefit of light transmission and mirrored reflection, plus creates an interesting effect, with the mirrored section typically filling the full length of the door or panel.

The modular approach that Lakes Bathrooms has introduced with its mirrored elements makes for greater design possibilities with options to configure to individual preferences, with choice of side panels, shower doors and bath screens. A shower enclosure could, if chosen, be entirely mirrored, or just one element, such as the side panel or door, could have the reflective treatment.

Prices for the mirrored doors, panels and screens from Lakes Bathrooms start at £295.20 including VAT. Use the Bathoom Home Directory to find a retailer near you.
