Hansgrohe SE sponsors a unique campaign to measure water quality in the Rhine
A Rhine marathon that will provide data on water quality every day: Andreas Fath, chemistry professor and former head chemist of Hansgrohe SE, will spend 28 days swimming the Rhine, from its source to its mouth, collecting samples along the way. These will hopefully provide information on the state of the entire 1,231 km of the Rhine. The scientist and long-distance swimmer teaches Physical Chemistry, specialising in Environmental Technology, at Hochschule Furtwangen University (HFU). Students and water experts from various research facilities will accompany him during this unique Rhine Water campaign, which launches on 28 July. They will work together analysing the samples. The programme was recently unveiled to the public in Mannheim.
